Welcome to Mai Aru, the home of beautiful clothing, created with love and care right here in Toronto, Canada. I’m Mai Aru, the creative force behind the clothes you are viewing on this site. As a designer since 1982 and located in Toronto, Canada, I enjoy creating designs that are comfortable and casual yet practical for a day of shopping, working at the office or a night out. I take my inspiration or the choice of colours and texture from nature.

You’ll enjoy the classic cut and feel of all my designs, without compromising on comfort or durability. Made with care and the finest materials, every piece revels in texture, colour, and whimsy. Great for layering and  combining, you can build a wardrobe of complementary pieces or enjoy just a single elegant selection.

Every client is offered a personalized service, with full input on colour selection, alterations and fabric preference.
